Terms, in plain words

Last updated October 14, 2026. The short version: you get a fixed price before we start, nothing goes out until you approve it, you pay half to start and half before handover, and once you've paid the ads are yours to use.

Who you are dealing with

Vif Studios is the marketing studio of Coral Moon Ventures Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, which runs Vif Studios and is the company you contract with. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean Coral Moon Ventures Inc. and Vif Studios. "You" means the business that asks for a sample or hires us.

Quotes and agreements

Before any paid work starts, we send you a written quote with a fixed price, what's included and the timing. Paid work begins once you accept the quote and the first payment arrives. If the quote or an accepted agreement says something different from this page, the quote wins, then the agreement, then this page.

Free sample ads

  • A sample is free, and you're under no obligation to buy anything.
  • It's marked as a sample and is for you to watch, not to run as an ad.
  • It stays ours until you buy the ad. We never publish it without your written permission.
  • If you'd like it deleted, tell us and we will.

How we use AI

The scenes and voiceover in our ads are made with AI, and AI helps us draft scripts. A person shapes and approves every script and checks every ad before you see it. AI scenes are illustrations: they don't show your real premises, staff or customers unless you supply that footage. Because AI tools are available to everyone, someone else could end up with imagery that looks similar to parts of your ad.

What you promise us

Ads have to be truthful, and you know your business best. So when you work with us, you confirm that:

  • what you tell us about your business is true, including prices, offers, hours, service areas, licences, certifications and any "best", "fastest" or "guaranteed" claims, and you can back it up if asked;
  • you have the right to use the logos, photos, footage, music and names you send us;
  • you're responsible for following the rules of your profession or industry in your ads.

We check the claims in every script against what you've given us or what you publish, and we won't make ads with fake reviews, made-up testimonials, invented customers or claims we can't support. We can decline or stop work that would break the law or these terms.

Approval

Nothing is posted or handed over as final until you approve it. When you approve a script or a finished ad, you're confirming that its claims are accurate and that you're happy for it to run.

Revisions

Each piece includes one round of changes. A further round, or changes that start the idea over, are quoted separately before we do them. Our own takes and tool costs are inside the quoted price and are never billed on top.

Payment

  • Half the quoted price is due when you accept the quote, and we start once it arrives.
  • The other half is due when the work is finished, before we hand over the final files or post the ad for you.
  • Monthly content is billed each month, in advance.
  • Prices are in the currency on your quote. Applicable taxes are added where the law requires.

Cancelling

  • You can cancel a job at any time. You pay for the work done up to that point. If that's less than you've already paid, we refund the difference.
  • We can cancel a job too. If we do, we refund anything you've paid for work we haven't done.
  • If we're waiting on you for 30 days (an approval, a reply or your materials), we'll treat the job as paused, and it can be picked up again or cancelled as above.
  • Monthly content can be cancelled with 30 days' notice by email. There's no long contract.

Who owns what

  • Once you've paid in full, the finished ads are yours to use wherever you like, for as long as you like, and we keep no rights to them. To the extent any copyright exists in them, we assign it to you.
  • Music and any stock footage are licensed for use as part of the ad, not as separate files, and stay under their own licence terms.
  • Our working files, prompts and methods stay ours.
  • We only show your ads in our own work with your permission.

Posting and running ads for you

If you ask us to post, or to run a paid campaign, we use only the account access you give us, and you can remove it at any time. Paid campaigns run on your own ad account, and the platform bills you directly for the ad spend; it is never part of our price. The platforms (like Meta, Google, YouTube and TikTok) decide what they allow, and they can reject, limit or remove an ad. That's outside our control, but we'll help you fix it.

No guaranteed results

We make ads designed to get noticed and to get people to act, but we can't promise a number of views, calls, bookings, sign-ups or sales. Those depend on your offer, your market, your budget and the platforms.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to what you paid us for it, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits. You're responsible for claims arising from information or materials you gave us, or from ads you changed after approval. Nothing here limits rights that the law says can't be limited.

Using this website

The demos and illustrations on this site are labelled as such and aren't client work. Please don't copy the site's content or design. How we handle your information is in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If something goes wrong, tell us first and we'll try to sort it out directly.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and a job is covered by the terms in place when you accepted its quote. Questions? Write to [email protected].
